Dream's Mixed Martial Arts Props Bets and MMA Parlays at 5 Dimes
The main event fight of the night was over quick as two top lightweight fighters Shinya Aoki and Mach Hayato Sakurai squared off. It was over as quick as it started as Sakurai KO’d Aoki in just 27 seconds. The fight was built up with three years of bad blood and a vicious war of words before the fight. Sakurai charged at Aoki once the bell rang and unleashed a brutal KO over the grappling expert.
The pre tournament favorite Aoki is not out of the tournament. Brazilian jujitsu specialist Andre Galvao took a bit or work but eventually got John Alessio via submission (armbar) at 7:34 of Round 1.
Also on the card ATT fighter Jeff Monson made quick work of top Russian heavyweight and top ten heavyweight Sergei Kharitonov, as he submitted him with a North-South choke in less than two minutes.
Another shocker of the night was Riki Fukuda, who was a last minute replacement Dong Sik Yoon, defeating former EliteXC middleweight champion Murilo Rua by decision. Finally Vitor Ribeiro who has not fought in a while was about to beat Katsuhiko Nagata once the fight went to the ground.
The next Dream event will be Dream 9 which will be the second round of the Feather Weight Grand Prix 2009 on May 26, 2009.
